RULES & POLICIES
The Club Rules are designed so that the Club House may be enjoyed by Sulgrave members, guests, and reciprocal club members.
RECIPROCAL CLUB MEMBERS
Members of clubs with reciprocity with the Sulgrave Club may make reservations for private parties, guest rooms, dining, and club events with the Front Desk. A letter of introduction from the reciprocal club must be emailed to the Sulgrave Club Front Desk.
No member, including the sponsor of a party or private dining event, may publicize the name of the Sulgrave Club without the explicit prior permission of the President or the Chair of the House and Grounds Committee. The use of cellular phones, personal computers, and other electronic devices is not permitted, except in guest rooms and the Members Room.
Appropriate dress is required in the public rooms of the Club at all times. Members, guests, and visitors are expected to respect the Dress Code and members should advise their guests of the Club's Dress Code before they visit the Club. Appropriate attire for ladies shall include suits, dresses, skirts or pants with jackets or elegant sweaters of equivalent formality to the coats and ties that are required for gentlemen. Jackets with no ties are only permitted at breakfast in the dining room Monday through Saturday. Casual slacks, jeans, and athletic attire are not considered appropriate.
The Club House is a smoke-free environment.
Pets, except Seeing Eye dogs, are not permitted in the Club House.
Daily and overnight valet parking is available for a charge. Please arrive to the Club traveling west on Massachusetts Avenue to turn right in to the driveway. Please do not turn left into the driveway so as not to disrupt the traffic on Dupont Circle.
