Directions to the Sulgrave Club


From the Northeast/East

Take 95 South to the Baltimore/Washington Parkway. Follow to 50 West, which turns, into 50W/New York Avenue. Follow signs for 50W/Downtown and signs for New York Avenue/Massachusetts Avenue. Bear right onto L Street until it ends and you must bear right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Follow Mass. Avenue under the tunnel. When you come out, you will cross 15th Street and enter into a circle (Scott Circle). Follow the circle around until you can bear right onto Mass. Ave. Follow Mass. Ave. through two more lights. The club will be on the right just past the 18th street intersection.

From the Northwest

Take 270 South to 495 East. Take the exit for Wisconsin Avenue, Rte. 355 South. Take Wisconsin Avenue to Massachusetts Avenue. The National Cathedral will be on your left at this intersection. Cross the intersection and make the next left onto Garfield Street (left turns onto Mass. Ave. from Wisconsin are not allowed). At the next light, turn right onto Mass. Ave. Follow Mass Ave. to DuPont Circle and enter the circle. Go approximately 1/3 of the way around the circle and bear right onto Mass. Ave again. The club is a gold brick building on immediate left.

From the South

Take 95 North to 395 North to the 14th Street Bridge. Continue across the bridge bearing to the left to 14th Street. Follow 14th Street to Constitution Avenue. The Washington Monument will be on your left. Turn left onto Constitution Avenue. Follow Constitution Ave. to 18th Street and turn right. Take 18th Street to Massachusetts Avenue and turn left onto Massachusetts. Avenue. The club is the gold brick building on your immediate right. If you get to the circle, you have gone too far.

From the West

Take 66 east and cross the Roosevelt Bridge. Move to the left while crossing the bridge and take the E Street exit. Follow E Street to 20th Street. Turn left onto 20th and follow it up to New Hampshire Avenue. Bear right onto New Hampshire and take it to DuPont Circle. Follow the circle approximately ¼ of the way around and bear right onto Massachusetts Avenue. The club is the gold brick building on the immediate left.
